WHAT IS THIS
This is an AU fan adventure whose premise essentially involves mashing Homestuck characters and concepts into the Harry Potter universe. It is mainly about the exploits of various human and troll Hogwarts students in their fifth year at Hogwarts, during which the Triwizard Tournament is being held, and also some other stuff is going down.
OK SO IS JOHN HARRY POTTER
No! Harry Potter is Harry Potter! He went to Hogwarts in the 90s. This fan adventure takes place in 2010/2011, so the stuff that happened in Harry Potter canon is recent history. Everything went down pretty much the same way as it did in the books, except that more of the people involved were trolls.
WAIT EXPLAIN TO ME THIS TROLL NONSENSE
Homestuck trolls exist as a species on Earth in this AU. Due to various historical factors, human culture is dominant and trolls are a minority. This intersects with wizard/muggle prejudices in a lot of exciting ways that I am sure most of you don’t actually care about – if you do care about it, though, you can read some of my ramblings on the subject here – these posts include exposition on things like troll gender, how humans perceive the hemospectrum, how trolls have interacted with humans throughout history, troll mating habits, etc. etc. Reading this stuff is absolutely not necessary to understanding what is going on, but it might be interesting, if you like that kind of thing.
SO THIS IS A DIFFERENT TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT TO THE ONE IN THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS THEN
Yes. Voldemort will not involve himself in any way, because it is hard to involve yourself in things when you have been dead for good for like 12 years.
WHAT’S THE PROLOGUE
A preliminary story which I did before I decided I was going to put this on tumblr and also before I had quite realised how much I was going to be writing (and drawing) here. It takes place in the characters’ first year, and contains a fair bit of material relevant to Goblet of Sick Fires’ plot. You should probably read it! It can be found on Archive Of Our Own over here, along with the AO3 version of the rest of the story.

Yes you can! Get yourself over to the ask box and stick some stuff in there, although I cannot guarantee that I will use every command because I do get quite a lot sometimes. HOW OFTEN DO YOU UPDATE
I don’t really have a set schedule, I am sorry to say, because that would stress me out! Goblet of Sick Fires is basically the least stressful thing I have going right now and I’d like to keep it that way, so I pretty much just update whenever I feel like it. Usually I manage to post stuff once or twice a week, though.

Nope. There are a few other similar fics/RPs/etc., but this one is not related to any of them except by also being a Hogwarts AU.
